When does an academic qualify?
Under WP:NACADEMIC you qualify when your research has demonstrable impact: high citation count, prestigious awards, professorship at a recognized institution, or broad media coverage of your work.
NL and EN versions
For academics with international research, a dual Dutch and English Wikipedia page is often valuable. We offer both languages with editors active on both platforms.
What often does not work
Teaching alone, without research impact. Junior academics without substantial citations. Publications only in internal university outlets — university press releases do not count as independent sources either. See who qualifies for the full criteria. Part of our Wikipedia page creation service; see also a professor of medicine case.
